On Wednesday, August 2, Reno & Cavanaugh donated 14 desktop computers, 3 laptops, and a variety of related equipment to the Community Technology Initiative (CTI) of Albany, NY. CTI trains residents of Albany public housing and participants in the Albany Housing Authority (AHA) Section 8 Program to effectively employ technology. CTI is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to schools, housing authorities, other not-for-profits, and hardware and software companies. Its mission is to provide technology, training and access to those traditionally underserved. Ninety-eight percent of the graduates of the CTI programs get jobs after completion. James Tucker, a long-tenured AHA employee and a leader in the AFSME local CSEA, drove to our offices in Washington, D.C. on a hot day in August to pick up the computers. See Mr. Tucker in the photo below on the left with Reno & Cavanaugh business manager, Shaun Leighton.
