Iyen Acosta

Iyen A. Acosta is the Senior Legal Assistant with Reno & Cavanaugh.  Iyen graduated cum laude in May 2008 from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a major in Government and Politics and a concentration in Environmental Policy.  Iyen was awarded departmental high honors for her senior honors thesis entitled "Environmentalism in the Philippines: The Gap Between Policy and Implementation."  Her responsibilities at R&C include providing support to attorneys and paralegals by maintaining evidentiary checklists, editing and saving documents, and preparing document binders for submissions and closings.  Prior to joining R&C, Iyen worked at the University of Maryland as the Student Staff Human Resources Manager for the Department of Transportation Services and as a Student Defender with the Undergraduate Student Legal Aid Office.  She is also a Ballroom and Latin dance instructor and competes in amateur competitions throughout the East Coast.  Iyen is originally from Fort Washington, MD.

  

 
Rachael Ballard

Rachael Ballard is the Business & Marketing Coordinator at Reno & Cavanaugh.  Her responsibilities include production of responses to Requests for Proposals, executing business development and marketing strategies, website administration, weekly inventories and other internal administration tasks.  Rachael graduated in May of 2007 from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, with majors in Spanish and Foreign Affairs. She served as an intern in Senator Edward M. Kennedy's Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Office in Washington, D.C. during the spring semester of 2006, an experience which served as a springboard for her independent study on U.S. Immigration Policy completed at UVA in the fall of 2006.  Rachael is originally from Ridgefield, CT.


 

Jennifer Fuller

 

Jennifer Fuller is a Legal Assistant with Reno & Cavanaugh's Nashville office.  Jennifer provides support to attorneys and paralegals on real estate and economic development matters by maintaining evidentiary checklists, tracking and assisting with due diligence including title and survey review, and editing and saving documents.  Before joining R&C, Jennifer was a litigation paralegal at Dickenson Wright PLC and a legal assistant in the Finance and Real Estate Department of Stites & Harbison, PLLC. Jennifer is originally from Atlanta, GA.


   
Teresa Hines
 
Teresa Hines is a Legal Assistant with Reno & Cavanaugh. Her responsibilities at the firm include providing support to attorneys and paralegals by maintaining evidentiary checklists, editing and saving documents, and preparing document binders for submissions and closings.  Teresa graduated cum laude in May 2008 from Howard University in Washington, DC, with a major in Legal Communications, a minor in English and was the first student to be appointed Student Ambassador by the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.  Prior to coming to Reno & Cavanaugh, Teresa worked for two years as an itern for WHUR 96.3 FM's Business Department. Teresa is originally from St. Louis, MO.

 

Kiran Uppal

Kiran Uppal is a Legal Assistant with Reno & Cavanaugh's Nashville office. Her responsibilities include providing support to attorneys by maintaining evidentiary checklists, saving and editing documents, and preparing document binders for submissions and closings. Kiran graduated in May 2007 with honors from Nottingham Trent University with an LLB. Prior to joining R&C, Kiran lived in Dublin, Ireland for 5 years where she focused on European Union Law and International Law. Kiran is originally from Orange County, CA.
