Chalie Nocera

Chalie Nocera is a member who utilizes his diverse business and legal experience to assist clients with complex real estate transactions. He assists in all phases of real estate development, including due diligence review, loan and equity document drafting and negotiation, and loan closing relating to property acquisitions, financing and dispositions.

Chalie has represented non-profit and for-profit developers, lenders and investors in mixed-finance transactions involving agency loans and tax credits. In addition, he has drafted and reviewed ground lease agreements to facilitate the development of affordable apartment communities.

Chalie has also received his Grow America (formerly National Development Council) Rental Housing Development Finance Professional™ (RHDFP) certification.

Recent Transactions

  • Represented seller in the sale of its affordable housing portfolio consisting of approximately 1,150 units in Tennessee, Texas and Mississippi.
  • Represented purchaser in the acquisition of ownership interests in an affordable housing portfolio consisting of approximately 260 units.
  • Represented investor in the acquisition of partnership interests in the owner of a 81-unit multifamily residential housing project.
  • Represented lender financing the construction of 72-unit affordable rental housing project.
  • Provided legal assistance to non-profit and for-profit entities related to corporate structuring, governance and tax-exemption issues.
